ROTTEN

Rotten play good old fashioned death metal built around a murderous groove and killer hooks, as effective as a sledgehammer blow to the head. Listening to their brutal brand of aural carnage you can almost imagine them gleefully hacking and carving their way through a pile of mangled corpses with twisted grins on their bloodsmeared mugs... it ain't pretty, but it's great fun for the entire flesh-eating family!

EVOLVE

It must have been around December 2006 that Evolve first saw the light of day, but the idea existed long before. Commitments to other bands alas postponed the beginning of this project. Former members of “Uni-Fight”, Ravi Rao and Toon Gijssels( both on guitar )and Sam de Houwer( bass ), wanted to form a new band. Inspired by bands as In Flames, Killswitch Engage and others they had grown beyond the aspiration of being “just another garage band” and wanted to make quality music ,and God willing, share this with the world. In need of a double-bass drummer and vocalist they started their search and first came along a possible drummer. Stefan de Cnodder, retired drummer since the passing away of "Anti-body ", had just picked up playing the drums again and, out of the blue, got a phone call from Ravi . He didn’t need a lot of persuasion and immediately signed in. First rehearsals began around December 2006 and it was obvious that there was a certain chemistry going on. All four members agreed that this was a winning formation and started to write hard rocking songs that can be appreciated by a wide variety of people. After having written some songs it was time to bring in a vocalist. After auditioning different types of singers in came Dave Simons Also supplying the vocals in Band Marginal he had the necessary experience needed to complete the definitive sound of the band. Finding a name for the band seemed a lot harder than we first thought. After numerous discussions we settled with Evolve, which was one of the names we came up with in the first place. We started playing a number off gigs and than decided to enrole the 25th aniversary edition of Aardschok's metalbash in 2008, and won the damn thing!! We got a great prize from Aardschok , Studiotime !for wich we thank them a million. Due to musical difference Evolve shortly after parted ways with vocalist Dave. Replacing him with the mean vocals of Pieter Verpaalen ( ex-"Textures ", "Kill.Caress"( r.i.p. ) Whom delivered an enthused performance during late Decembers tryouts. Now ready as they canbe : Evolve is driven to bring you their songs filled with shreddin..guitarriffs ,vocal outburst and solid bashing drumsound ,defining their true passion :making music that F....kin Rocks! Having said all of the above: If you get the chance, check us out at one of our shows. Where planning on playing a lot this season , so be sure to check the roster for a gig near you . Also, we posted a couple of songs ,using both the studio recordings we gained earlier and some material we mixed ourselves . It might give you good example of what Evolve ..s Metal cappabillities are. Take a listen ,hope you enjoy

GEWAPEND BETON

Gewapend Beton started out in 2003 as four 14 year old school kids from Amsterdam. After recording their 14 song demo “Embryo Punk” in 2003, mainly influenced by UK 82 punk, they started playing a lot of shows, quickly building a name for themselves with their energetic performances. One year later they recorded 7 songs for the split LP “Nederpunk gaat door” with the Bakfietsboys but it took almost a year before it was released on the defunct labels Pogopunx, DP-or-not-DP and Attack Records. After lots of cool shows and small tours in Holland, Germany, Belgium and the UK they hit the studio again in January 2007 to record their first full length album “17 until we die”. It was released on Dirty Faces, La Familia and Attack Records in December of that year. From then on they started to do a lot of touring. The first real European tour was in February 2008, together with Monster Squad (USA) and Antidote (NL). After that they did some tours on their own all throughout the western part of Europe. The record got received very well by the audience and they started playing bigger shows with the bigger names. Meanwhile the band goes on writing new material with more new influences from early 1980’s American bands such as Poison Idea, Bad Brains, Zero Boys and Reagan Youth. The music is a blend of both the UK and the US styles, with their own Dutch edge. Recently they recorded 6 new tracks at Studio 195 for a 12 inch EP/CD ''Empty Batteries'', released in February 2009 by Crucial Attack records and La Familia records (formerly Hate Records). At the moment the band is putting all their energy in writing new songs for a brand new album to be recorded in 2010.

SEITA (NL/Brazil)

SEITA is a Brazilian four-piece band hailing out of Amsterdam that stands for straight up death/thrashmetal. Inspired by the contradictions, passions and violence of their homeland, and infused with new views provided by a life on the move, Seita delivers a sound best described as pure aggression in its most visceral form. Early in 2007 drummer Dom Mura (ex-With Pride) and vocalist/guitarist Michel Gambini (Retturn) got together and, ignoring the latest fads in the music scene, started writing material. Within no time they had punched out songs that they felt had the potential to go beyond the walls of their rehearsal room – an energy later boosted by creative guitarist Edson Munhoz (Rooted). In March 2008 bass-player André Sparta completed the line-up and the band finished the self-recorded Imprint Forever demo; mixed and mastered by Danny O'Really (Deicide,Biohazard,Napalm Death). The six in-your-face tracks are just the starting point for this band. In 2009 they focus on live shows in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and South-Korea and work on new material. End of Spring 2010 they hope to release their first full-length album. Committed to honesty, their feelings and attitude combined with each member's influences and experiences will undoubtedly impel SEITA to expand the boundaries of their own music.

NO TURNING BACK

In this day and age where hardcore bands come and go with the speed of light NO TURNING BACK are holding true to what they originally set out to do and they're not planning on giving up, ever. Starting out in 1997 as 16-year olds in the barren south-eastern parts of The Netherlands, music was their only means of venting their anger and frustration of not fitting in, in a world that seemed sick and cold to the bone. Since those days the band has come a long way. Driven by a merciless give-all-take-all attitude, No Turning Back have steadily been building an impressive career touring worldwide and became a household name in hardcore music, with an incredible back catalogue of five full length records, three MCDs, two split EPs and a 7'' EP. In 2006 the band put out HOLDING ON, marking a turning point in their career. Released on five continents on multiple labels, CD and vinyl, has propelled the band to new levels of relentlessness. Overwhelming feedback from the international press and fans alike only added more fuel to the tour-hungry machine that is No Turning Back. Three North American tours, headline tours in Japan, Brasil and all over Europe hitting major cities like Tokyo, Osaka, Rio, Sao Paulo, NYC, LA, London, Barcelona and more. Being support for Terror, Sick Of It All, Hatebreed, Ignite, Gorilla Biscuits, Bad Brains and many others. Playing festivals all over the world like the Sound and Fury Festival in California, U.S. and the Groezrock festival in Meerhout, Belgium in front of thousands. Culminating in over 220 shows across the globe. Their gruelling tour schedule would be enough to crush lesser men just by looking at it, but with the release of STRONGER in 2008 No Turning Back decided to up the ante even more. Recorded by Dirk Miers at De Studio and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side STRONGER was supported by what could only be described as a world tour. The album hit like a bomb and No Turning Back became the first European hardcore band to play exotic locations like Central America, South Africa, China and parts of Asia. Besides that they did another bunch of European and US tours, went back to Mexico and South America and hit up festivals like With Full Force (GER), This Is Hardcore (US) and Ieper Fest (BE). They played in over 50 different countries and sold over 20.000 records in the process. They have numerous video's for their songs up on their myspace page and even more video's of their overwhelming live show documented by their fans on youtube. As their recognition continues to spread No Turning Back show no signs of slowing down. Leaning on the original NYHC sounds No Turning Back has evolved and developed their own signature grooves, fast breaks and massive sing along anthems. The sound that moves any crowd in any city in any country into a swirling mass of circle-pits, stage dives and huge sing a-longs. A split picture 7” with Strength For A Reasons was released on Filled With Hate Records this year and the band is confirmed for Europe's annual Persistence Tour. STRONGER!

THE SETUP (BE)

After enduring a very demanding 2008 with personal loss and half of their line-up changed, the crawl & reign ep proved The Setup was more alive than ever. This release however was only a glimpse of what is coming. With their upcoming full length album 'Torchbearer' The Setup prove that they're still a force to be reckoned with. This record is by far the heaviest album they ever wrote and above all, it captures their trademark live sound. 33 minutes of explosive guitar riffing, hard hitting drums, and vicious vocals is Torchbearer in a nutshell. Songs like “Hostile Eyes”, “Drown and Sink” and "Another Heresy" are the living proof The Setup raised the bar once again. Recorded by Jacob Olsen (Born From Pain, Hatesphere, Moonspell, Gorefest) This collaboration resulted in 12 bone crushing songs that will grab you by the throat and leave you breathless. It’s no secret, The Setup faced some dark times which eventually led to an album that embodied this struggle, so no one will be surprised Torchbearer is an album full of anger, frustration and hate but even more it’s also an album of hope, because in a world where no one seems to care and many of us feel alone, the torchbearer will rise to show us there is more out there than what we are told.

CRIMSON FALLS (BE)

The oldest traces of the Crimson Falls date back to spring 2002, when the band was originally formed by Kristof Damen (guitar), Ringo Van Dingenen (guitar) and Sigi Loots (drum). Ringo and Sigi had already been playing together in Outrage and Reller, two hardcorebands, while Kristof had a past in two metalcorebands: Unbound NC and Amain. With this line-up they composed the first CF-songs while looking for a suitable singer and bass player to make the band complete. In October 2002 both were found in Filip Van Damme (vocals) and Maarten Van Houdt (bass). The first shows were played in April/May 2003. After these shows it became clear that not everyone in the band had the same view on the musical direction. Vocalist Filip didn’t feel comfortable with the more melodic death metal-styled music the rest of the band was heading for, so both sides agreed that going their own ways was the best option to take. After this, Crimson Falls kept on rehearsing and writing new songs as a foursome. After 8 long months, a new singer was found in former Legion-singer Wim Jacobs in spring 2004. Wim had the same musical background and preferences as the other CF-members so the musical direction wasn’t an issue any longer. The new line-up started playing shows in August 2004; building up a solid live reputation. Meanwhile Crimson Falls got ready for the recordings of their first release. In May 2005 the debut mcd ‘Ruins 2K5’ saw the light of day. ‘Ruins 2K5’ contained five songs in which the band blended metalcore and melodic Swedish death metal. Crimson Falls recorded this album at Waves Studio, the predecessor of AK’s Studio. The artwork is designed by Dirge Design. This first effort put the band on the map in the metal & hardcore scene and got praised by an impressive series of national and international reviews. More shows followed in support of the album. In 2006 Crimson Falls was faced with new line-up troubles with the departure of bass player Maarten Van Houdt. This didn’t stop the band from taking the next step in their evolution with the recordings of their first full-length label release. In December 2006 'The True Face Of Human Nature’ came out on Shiver Records. The album, recorded, mixed and mastered at CCR studio (Aborted, In-Quest, Betzefer, Liar, Lengtche..), brings you 45 minutes of modern & hard-hitting deathMETALcore. ..The True Face Of Human Nature.. features guest appearances by Svencho (Aborted) on ‘Controle Alt Delete’ and XCaroX (No Recess) on ‘Martyr Vs. Terrorist.’ The artwork is conceived by Avernus Studios, a new design agency born out of the ashes of Dirge Design (Immolation, The Amenta, In-Quest..). An extensive booklet is added to this album with liner notes commenting every song, giving a deeper insight on the lyrical content. Bass on these recordings was played by Sven ‘The Bassturbator’ Janssens (Aborted, Axamenta, Unleash The Fury). For the live shows Kristof Taveirne (Spoil Engine, Regression) filled in the empty spot on stage. A permanent replacement was found in September 2006 when Tom Trancez (I Witness, Serial Butcher) joined Crimson Falls. After the release of the ‘The True Face Of Human Nature’, Crimson Falls concentrated on promoting the new album, playing numerous shows in Europe, with a performance at Graspop Metal Meeting 2007 as the absolute highlight. Crimson Falls recorded its second full length in September/October 2008 at CCR studio and was mixed and mastered there as well in November/December 2008. ‘Fragments Of Awareness’ got released by Genet Records in April 2009. The new album shows a more mature and evolved Crimson Falls, pushing their mix of ingredients to the extreme. This one is harder, more varied a hard-hitting then ever before. The album features guest vocals from Bart (Rafflesia) at ‘The Suicide Circle’, while members of When Blood Burns, It Breeds No More, Rafflesia and Crimson Falls team up for some gang vocals on ‘With All Due Respect’ & ‘Cauterize Havoc’. After this release the band shared the stage with scene leaders The Black Dahlia Murder, All Shall Perish, White Chapel, Origin & Despised Icon. Their appearance at Ieperfest 2009 was the start of Crimson Falls’ first European Tour which brought the band to Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Austria & Holland. After this tour the band decide to part ways with guitar player Ringo as his personal life made it impossible for him to invest the necessary time and effort in the band any longer. Jeroen Foré (Strych.Nine, ex-Catafalque) was enrolled as the new guitar player, with whom Crimson Falls started working on new material in autumn 2009. Crimson Falls blends a wide range of influences into an intense, passionate and crushing unity of death metal & metalcore. Expect fast and aggressive riffs, brutal mosh breakdowns, blistering blasts, complex rhythms and melancholic melodies. Influences include the mighty At The Gates, All Shall Perish, Aborted, Gojira, The Faceless, Lamb Of God, The Black Dahlia Murder, White Chapel, Heaven Shall Burn, Behemoth, Meshuggah, Nevermore & Despised Icon, to name just a few. Crimson Falls proclaims a positive message of freedom, self-confidence and following your dreams, while other songs put the finger on the pulse of our modern society and it’s excesses. A variety of topics is brought up, going from a personal outlet of emotions (‘When The Blood Becomes Adrenaline’, ‘Poetry For The Scum’, ‘Solace’, ‘With All Due Respect’), over topical social issues (Book Of Memories’, ‘Controle Alt Delete’, ‘Martyr Vs. Terrorist’, ‘Forsaken’, ‘Omen Of Catastrophe’…) to the expression of a positive attitude in life (‘The Crimson Eyed’, ‘Erase All Fear’, ‘Four Slaves, Four Struggles.’, ‘Sworn Persistence’, ‘Regenesis’…). This band is for the moshers as well as the headbangers, the metalheads ànd the hardcore kids. No limits, no boundaries.

WASTED BULLET

Wasted Bullet was formed early 2007. After they've had released their first EP 'Stand your Ground', it was time to take things to another level. After playing several shows throughout the country, things turned out to be different from what they expected. This result was Pim leaving the band. After another line-up change (Jasper joined them in early 2009) the band was ready for the next step. They recorded the new MCD "Changes" in the summer of 2009 at the Random Impact studio in Kaatsheuvel. It is the beginning of a brand new era for Wasted Bullet.
